Oracle’s AI-Centric Cloud Deals Position It as a Top Growth Stock
Oracle's stock surged 36% on September 10 following ambitious plans to expand its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) revenue by over 14x within five years. The momentum continued with reports of a potential $20 billion cloud partnership with Meta Platforms and the expansion of its $300 billion AI collaboration with OpenAI, including five new AI-optimized data centers.
Unlike general-purpose cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, Oracle's infrastructure is purpose-built for AI workloads. Its newer, faster data centers—70 of which are slated to come online soon—could propel OCI to an inflection point by fiscal 2027. High-performance computing benchmarks suggest OCI outperforms rivals by orders of magnitude.
